Will Watts

Will Watts combines international experience across government and private business, research, a global professional network, and creative problem solving to support clients. Will has worked with companies across retail, food, law, and steel to grow their businesses, build effective partnerships, innovate, and obtain license to grow in challenging markets.

Prior to W Global Innovation, Will co-founded and served as Executive Director of the Walmart Food Safety Collaboration- a $25 million initiative by Walmart and the Walmart Foundation to advance food safety in China. During his time with the Center, he managed multinational research projects, spearheaded supply chain improvement initiatives, advised public education campaigns, and engaged on policy issues through global industry, government, academic, and NGO partnerships. Will's experience also extends to government having previously served as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. Department of State.

Now based in the USA, Will has spent extensive time in Asia, Europe, and Africa. He remains active in the U.S., Asian, and European retail, food, and agricultural business and academic communities while also staying connected with university research programs and startups. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Italian.
